Member Service Representative

Description

As a Member Services Representative, your primary responsibilities revolve around delivering cash-related services to credit union members. This includes processing various member transactions such as new accounts, RRSPs, RESPs, RRIFs, TFSAs, and term deposit sales and withdrawals, while ensuring accurate General Ledger entries. You will also play a key role in maintaining security procedures, preparing statements, issuing debit cards, and managing cheque-related activities. Additionally, you will contribute to sales, marketing, and promotion efforts by staying informed about credit union products, explaining differences between offerings, responding to member inquiries, and cross-selling deposit services. In a supportive capacity, you will assist with general administrative duties, provide relief for other positions as needed, and actively participate in departmental meetings.

The role requires a Grade 12 diploma and at least one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A positive attitude, self-motivation, strong organizational and computer skills, the ability to work independently, and good interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.
